Indian Classical Music, is one of the greatest gifts of India to the World.
And a blessed few, much beyond their fame and fortune, have devoted their lives to bolster this claim far and wide.

Pt. Sanjay Patki was born into a musical family in Maharashtra. He was initiated into music by his uncle Shree Jayram Patki who was a great musicologist at Wardha, Maharashtra.

He graduated from Nagpur University under the mentorship of Dr. Mangal Deshmuk and Ms. Tara Vilaychi. Thereafter he also completed his Post Graduation under the guidance of Prof. Sham Sundar Khardanvis and Prof. Bal Purohit from Gwalior Gharanaa.

Thereafter, the education of Gharandaaz Gaayakias a disciple of Gwalior Gharanaawas continued under the precious guidance of Pt. L. K. Pandit, Faculty of Music & Fine Artsat Delhi University.

He received the talim from Ustad Mubaraq Ali Khan Saheb, Agra Gharanaa under the tradition of Gandaa-Bandh Shagirdand learned the peculiarities of Agra Gharanaa in Guru-Shishya Parampara. He received the talim on two distinct Gharanas such as Gwalior-Jaipur and Agra.

Currently, Pt. Sanjay Patki is employed as a HOD of Fine Arts and Culture at KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has an overall experience of 27 years of guiding students at various colleges as a lecturerin various cities like Akola, Wardha and Jalgaon. He also runs a Music Academy named as Swarswami Gurukul (previously named as Swarashray Sangeet Academy) at Jalgaon.

Pt. Sanjay Patki has been honored as ‘Best Guru’ in National Awards in Youth Festivals, as a ‘Best Singer’ in Tansen Puraskar organized by Madhya Pradesh Government and Swargandhar Puraskar from Aryan Foundation. A torchbearer of our pristine tradition, he continues to enthrall and take his audiences on an ecstatic journey through his music.
